C2 Wiper motor
Hello all: I am a new member and need to ask a really dumb question. I have to replace my windshield wiper motor on a C2. Because aftermarket AC was installed, there is very little room behind the dash. I am about to remove the clip that secures the two wiper arms to the wiper motor. If I drop the clip, I will have to remove sections of the dash to retrieve it, and want to avoid that at all costs. So, the stupid question is: how do I slip off the clip securing the arms ? Because of the limited space, I cannot see exactly how it is slipped on to the motor stub. I want to remove it without dropping it. How exactly is it secured ? Do I use needle-nosed pliars on one end of the clip, lift the top of the clip with a screwdriver and push the clip out of the pivot stub groove ?
Thanks in advance for helping me to avoid the monumental problem of dash removal. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
