A chance to own a piece of Pantera history. This 1971 Pushbutton Pantera (#1365) used in the Hawaii 5-0 episode "Death Wish on Tantalus Mountain" guest starring Ricardo Montalban was the first Pantera imported into Hawaii. 2 owner car with 28,XXX original miles. One of 383 cars handmade in Vignale, Italy, this is one of about 150 pushbutton cars estimated to survive, one of about 40 in the U.S. A true collector car sure to increase in value. The difference in the coach work on early Panteras far exceed that of the later cars. They feel heavier, more solid and of better quality overall compared to later models. Recently placed second in it's class at the "All Ford and Mustang Show" in Hawaii before it was shipped to Las Vegas.
This car is in great condition with no known accidents, rust, or previous repairs. It has all of it's original body sheet metal, no known repairs or replacement. The car was repainted by it's original owner sometime in the 1980's. Rare 1 slot Campy rims and Michelin XWX tires with a lot of tread left. Original numbers matching, strong running HP engine and 5 speed ZF 1 transmission. Stock except for headers, electronic distributor, Edelbrock carb, and other reliability upgrades.
Upgraded master cylinder, braided stainless steel flex brake lines, new suspension bushings, electric relay kit, Hall radiator, Meriah fans, Hall high torque starter, new long throw clutch slave and clutch master. New water pump and harmonic damper, and double row timing chain. Gauges were upgraded to VDO units for accurate readings. Side mount transmission mount kit was installed for strength. Upgraded R 12 Rotary A/C compressor system that blows cold. Includes Edelbrock carb tuning kit, complete original tool kit, uninflated spare tire, and air cannister.
I recommend and welcome an inspection prior to purchase.
