C5 Zo6 Or C6

hey guys, i want to get a corvette. i dont know all that much about them so im hear for some help. i have had my heart set on a c5 ZO6. but i have recently been looking at the c6 2005. not the zo6 although if i could afford one i would get that in a heart beat. but anyways a c5 zo6 and a c6 are roughly in the same price range im looking at. but which is better?

each Have 400hp. but doesn't the c6 have better handling? i think c6 also has better interior. but then again i love the looks and how wide the c5z is. and im iffy of the hatch of the c5.... i like the ''sportier'' look of the zo6. plus everywhere i turn there is a c6...unlike a c5zo6.

any help would be nice. thanks.

C5 Zo6 Vs C6

I think it is mostly a matter of taste. The C6 has some engineering advantages but the ZO6
Is by far my choice. Drives great, fast, easy to upgrade performance, etc, etc. Pluse it still
looks like a vette-not quite so modern. Interior quality doesn't match the C6 but looks
twice as nice.
Enjoy!

I struggled with the same thing, but I'm VERY happy with my c5 Z06...it runs strong, is incredibly quick, and just plain looks bad-ass to me. If I could've afforded a C6 z06, Yes, I would've, but I got such a screaming deal on my c5 I couldn't refuse!

An 04 C5 Z with the LeMans Special Edition would be my choice. You can still buy them with really low miles in the 30k to 35k range and they have the carbon fibre hood, better suspension than the 01-03.

My opinion is that the C5 Z06 is a much more fun car to drive than the C6. I have owned both and would go back to the raw race car feeling of the Z again before a C6. The big seller on the C6 would be a removable top and a better interior but the C5 Z06 is just such a mean feeling car!!!

I was in your same shoes not to long ago. I went ahead and got a c5z06 50th anniversary. I am so in love with my car. Rides smooth, pulls hard as hell, great overall feel. The cars extremely comfortable. Even my girlfriend enjoys going long distance trips in it. Much bigger head turner than a regular c6. Plus its a Z06 so that adds value to the vehicle. Buy a C5Z06. Dont settle for a regular corvette. Especially a first year new model.
