Adapting air filter setup to use Carter AFB ??

Working on a 1967 Stingray Coupe 327/350.
Planning to install a Carter AFB carb. The OEM air filter will not fit properly over the AFB - mostly interferes with the electric auto choke setup.

Has anyone modified the OEM filter housing to do this?

I would rather use a replacement filter setup. Anyone done so? An important issue is heighth of the resulting arrangement - not much clearance fdr closing hood.

I assume that one can convert the electric choke to manual if removing that assembly from the AFB would enable use of the oEM filter housing. Anyone done that?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
