Air filter housing adaptation when using Carter AFB ??

1967 Stingray Coupe 327/350.
I am changing from the original Holley to a Carter AFB. The OEM air filter will not fit properly over the AFB, primarily due to interference with the electric auto choke setup. Am assuming that some of you have encountered such issues.

Is the solution a modification of the OEM filter housing? I hope not. I would rather use a replacement filter setup. Does anyone know the best way to deal with this, and what filter setup would I be seeking if that were the answer?

I assume that I can convert the electric choke to manual if removing that assembly would be a solution. Anyone done that?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I should have noted that a problem issue here is overall height of manifold/carb/filter with regard to closed hood clearance. Any thoughts?

Well, no replies here. Looks like a guy needs to initiate such a thread on a more productive aspect of this forum. Think I will try Pit Road hope that will not be against the rules. Apologies if so.
