1987 A4 coupe with 77k miles in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. I have put lots of new stuff in this car, with an eye toward making it reliable. Not much to speak of in the way of mods.
Here is the run down:
I've owned this car for 1.5 years. Bought it from a dealer.
The dealer claims to have replaced brake pads and rotors and the battery. It turns over strong, and has never run the battery down, even when stored. No fluid leaks. Changed all fluids one year ago, oil, coolant, transmission, differential. Change oil with Mobil1.
Car comes with FSM and Haynes manuals.
Replaced both door panels and top trim.
Replaced the AC system with remanufactured parts and converted to R134a.
New MAF and relays.
New Magnaflow catback.
New fuel pump.
New transmission shifter cable.
Fresh tune up. Wires, plugs, coil, cap, rotor, module.
New AFS wheels with Kumho tires, less than 3000 miles on them.
New Panisonic radio with 4 speakers. New wires run.
New KYB shocks.
Head gaskets repaired, coolant system pressure tested, oil system cleaned.
That's all I can think of right now. Interior is about an 8.5 - 9. The exterior is about a 7.5 - 8, stone chips, a couple of marks, but looks good even from 5 feet. Asking $9k.
