1987 stock heads

How much hp and abuse will stock heads in my 87 c4 take if they are gone through and the seals and guides are replaces. I was told that since they are aluminum to keep them and use them but I'm not sure if they can hold up to the rest of my motor that is built for over 500 hp. If the bare head will hold up and all I need to replace is valves and springs that is fine and also what degree are these heads?

Those heads will take whatever you throw at them as long as the aluminum is good. Make sure you have them checked thoroughly by someone reputable... 26 yr old aluminum heads tend to become soft & unusable around the valve area
