High Stop Light Doesn't Work

I cant get the high stoplight to work! The light it self is good, I jumpered battery voltage to it and it lights up. I checked the wiring with an ohm meter and I have an open in the wiring between the stop light switch (which is new) and Connector C209 (right side, front, of the cargo compartment). The wiring from C209 to the light is good as is the ground both tested by jumpered battery power to C209. When I jumper from the switch to C209, it still won't light up! Any ideas?

Could this be possibly related to the brake light switch located behind the hush panel above the brake pedal.
