I have a 91 in excellent condition with one exception, the right headlight will not flip up. The left headlight works great. The right headlight comes on but that is it. The door will not flip up. :mad:
To give you some history of what I have tried.... I purchased the new gear kit, removed the entire assembly, opened the gear assembly but nothing looked bad or worn so before I reinstalled the unit into the car, I plugged it into the left side and when the lights were turned on, the door gear activated and appeared to be working properly. When the assembly was put back into the right side, headlight comes on, still no door action.
I found a schematic and it shows an in-line fuse, but I can't find it anywhere. Could it be this or does anybody have any other ideas? Can anybody help me with its location. Thanks, your help is appreciated.

tomred91, I fixed my headlight assembly but mine was the cylinder plastic was all mush. If the gear activates (not sure what you mean here) sound slike it's getting electris but the motor itself may be bad. No idea where the in line fuse is, good luck there. JDR

You can get parts to fix this. In the drive gears you install this three plastic pins to replace the gel that the factory use's. I did the fix to my 89 Vette.
