I am looking to trade our new 08 Crystel Red coupe for a 09 ZO6. They are only offering around 35k average for our car. I should have bought a new Z in the first place but we had 2 Vettes ( 2001 ) at the time. We sold the older one now I want a new Z. I just cant believe the dealer we bought the car only offered 34k for the car. The car MSRP for 60k. It only has 6k miles and is still perfect. We are having to buy out of state due to local dealers wont deal.
Just wanted some thoughts before we loose so much money, or maybe talk me out of it.

why not sell the car on your own and then buy the car. You will be able to shop nation wide for the best deal and get what you want then and not be stuck to what the dealer is offering.

Done deal, we got 36500 for the coupe and paid 70k for a 82k msrp.

Congrats on the new ride...Did you say it was tuned?...If so, you probably better check, because you may have voided your power train warranty?...

We bought a warrantee that covers every mishap even the man made ones. It was part of a the deal!

If the dealer did that tune, maybe...let's just say you are out of your area or on the road somewhere not close to that dealer...Something goes wrong with that motor and another dealer checks for a tune, you may have a problem...Do a search on some of the other vette forums, there are plenty of examples where peoples warranties are being denied...

I bought an extended warrantee from GM that should cover most things. They told me if I was drag racing and I broke the clutch it would be replaced. I wont be taking it too far from home as I dont drive it very much, it hasent been started in over a month. When thing break that they wont fix I am sure my freinds at Texas Speed or Corvettes of Dallas will be glad to upgrade the part for me.
