I have a 95 coupe with 28,350 miles on the clock I never changed the transmission fluid yet. When should it be done.I put 2,500 miles a year on my vette. Automatic. Live in PA.The reason for the question is the fluid is 14 years old.Does it break down?

For your question, I would change it with that many years!! It will break down in time!! I have a 2000 vette with 50,000 miles I have already change mine!! Tim c5garage

I agree...because of the time factor...heat is the fluids worst enemy but not driving much and getting to operating temp is also hard on trans fluid/engine oil/brake fluid they pick up moisture over time. I would also change coolant if you haven't already:)

Yah, same here. You should have changed it like years ago. I don't know if that'll still run? :D

I did the trans flush, which changes all the fluid, on my 93. Just draining it only changes part of whats in the trans. Expensive but new trans all real expensive! JDR
