A daily driver for year round use versus a summer cruiser with a little spirited driving now and then would call for two different type tire.

The 275/40 x 17 will fit fine but if buying wheels designed for a newer C4 means you will need spacers to get the correct offset.

I went to 'Tire Rack' and aoking at a few tires I picked Sumitomo HTR-Z all around. These are a great tire, doesn't look like much but they are quiet and smooth. Well worth the $79.00 each.:)
