has anyone put bigger tires on their stock wheels? I have a 95 with the blade style stock wheels, Its about time to replace the tires so it would be nice to go up in side wall height a little to fill the fender a bit as well as wider because wider just looks better. Any help ? Thanks

You can go taller on the sidewalls thats easy say you have a tire that is 275/40/17. The number 40 is 40% of the width. So if you can find a 275/50/17 it will be a taller tire. Now your speedometer will be off you will be going faster than what it reads. Also it will show you as traveling less miles than you have traveled. I think you will need to have your speedometer recalibrated or your computer will be off. It will be adjusting for one speed when you will be going another. As far as putting a wider tire on your rims that could be a bad thing. It will cause the tread to wear uneven and can in some cases cause the sidewalls to fall. If I were you I would keep the tire on the wheel that it was designed for. If you want a taller tire and a wider tire then it would be better if you also bought the right size wheel to go with it. If you go with a bigger diameter have the speedo calibrated and you will be much better off.
