Can anyone tell me how to test the fuel sending unit out of a 1978 vette to tell if its good or not its already out of the car

Can anyone tell me how to test the fuel sending unit out of a 1978 vette to tell if its good or not its already out of the car

Using an ohmmeter. 0 ohms will be empty and 90 ohms is full. by moving the float up and down you should see the dial or digital numbers going up and down between the 0 and 90 ohm range.
