I'm building a 71 big block w/racing heads & roller rockers. I've been told that the valve covers will not clear the power booster. Have any of you guys dealt with this problem? I've thought of just going to straight brakes, (no booster), but that entails a new brake pedal plate since the master is 2 bolts & the booster is 4. Any solutions? The car is almost done and I'm bouncing from foot to foot like a little kid that has to pee. Must drive car. bill w

I've been through this with my 69. I'm running a 496 big block with Canfield aluminum heads AND factory AC. You will NOT be able to use tall valve covers. I originally had the large Scorpion 1.7 aluminum roller rockers under tall valve covers, no way in hell to fit it in. I had to change the rocker arms to Comp Cams Pro Magnum roller rockers. These fit under a regular height valve cover so you can get the motor to fit even with a booster and Evaperator box like mine has.
