Is it possible to upgrade standard brakes on a 71 to power? I just don't feel comfortable with standard brakes. Any rough ideas as to what the costs might be?

I think I have your parts, and I think you have mine. I need to get rid of my power booster to fit my motor in the car. You have the 2 hole plate that mounts in front of the brake pedal that I need. If I get rid of my booster I will have the room I need. I think. Look at the mounting plate that your master cylinder bolts to at the firewall. Maybe we can do some trading. My booster is brand new. bill w

I put my car away for winter storage and can not get at it (till spring) to check out the mounting plate. If it was correct is it a big job to do the upgrade??

Getting the booster installed is the hardest part. The studs from the booster go through the firewall behind the speedo & tach. Very hard to get at. The one that ends up in the upper left position you probably won't even be able to see. I know, I just converted my 69 to power brakes. After that the MC install is quite easy and then it's pretty much a matter of rebleeding the system.
