Hello all, I have a couple of questions about my '85 vette. first of all, I am NO car mechanic... One of my problems is battery drainage. When I start the vette and leave in Park the Volts meter reads 14 then when I put it in reverse, drive it drops down to 12 Volts. Me not knowing anything , just doesn't seem normal? The only thing I can think of is a SHORT somewhere??And I think that can be draining my battery.. last one -- When I put my turn signals on,the front and side signals go at the same time.When I turn my headlights on the front and side turn signals go offbeat. Is that normal??

Not sure about the turn signals and the charging sounds like the brushs may be worn in your Alterantor. If you lose the charge when the cars is parked you may have a bad diode that means you need to change the Alterantor. A parts house should be able to check your battery and charging system for free.
