I am a recent 1st time owner of a 2001 . I bought the car in January and did not drive it until April .I use the car every day for my 80 mile round trip commute to work . In the 4 months of driving the car , I have used 1 and 1/2 quarts of oil . The message I get on my dashboard read out is "Low Oil Level ".

When I purchased the car the dealer did an oil change and put in synthetic oil ..I have never used synthetic oil so i am not sure the oil usage is a characteristic of the synthetic oil ?

This is not my first sports car . I did have an 05 Mustang Gt and I never had to add oil between changes . However ,I was using conventional oil.

Any thoughts , suggestions , comments would be greatly appreciated ..
