I'm new to the Corvette world and need a lot of advise. I just baught a Cover King car cover and it seems to leave marks (I hope they are not scatches) on my finnish. My Vette is black so everything shows. I spent $290 on it (ouch!), and I'm thinking of buying another one. I dont have a garage so it has to take the weather. I have been looking at some softer undersided covers, but their are so many. Any sugestions would be helpful. ...also, can you put an indoor soft cover under a outdoor cover? This is the closest it will get to a garage for awile so the right cover is important. Thanks

You don't say if it's going to be stored inside or outside, but a really good cover is avalable from mid america motorworks, www.mamotorworks.com and is part number 602-186 at $149.00 I have bought two of these covers and they last a long time and are made by Kimberly-Clark co. they breath so you don't get stains or marks under it and are washable. It is very light. they also have another one # 611-812 cost is $99.00 and also breaths and made from microfiber, I have no expierence with this item. i have a cover for my C-5 and it's an inside cover made of a satin like material.

be sure your not collecting dirt on the inside of the cover. It will show on a dark paint job. I know it hard to keep it clean and you gotta take the cover off sometime. I found its not a bad thing to leave the cover off unless your not driving it everyday. If you dont drive it every day and will cover it for days at a time just be sure you are putting your cover over a clean car. The dirt will burnish the paint if you take it on and off every day if there is an accumulation of (even a little) bit of grit and stuff. I discovered this on my '63 Colbalt blue.
