c6 z06 navigation system

I'v been told that the navigation system in the c6 is difficult to use and is not as good as the Garmin. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions before I order a 2009 Z06? I would also like some feedback on radar detectors. I can't decide between the valentine or the escort . I'd appreciate any info. Thanks

i have the nav on my 2006 Z06 and really not hard to use unless your driving than it gets harder

I've had a Valentine for 5 years and it has saved me more than once. It detects radar from 360 degrees. Great product.
