I would like to invite everyone to discuss some of the great roads that you have driven.

Here are a couple of mine:

Highway 1 between San Francisco and Big Sur. The view is breathtaking and the road that snakes along cliffs beside the Ocean can be quite exciting. Unfortunately when I drove this road I had flown out and had to drive a Mustang convertible with base suspention. It handled like a tank. Now I have to drive the Vette out there and do the entire California Coast highway from LA to Oregon...

The Tail of the dragon in Tennessee & North Carolina was a lot of fun, but several of the mountain roads in the Smokeys are great drives. These tight roads demand all of your attention when driving at a decent clip. I got to really test my paddle shifters while driving these mountain trails. The scenery is fantastic also. :)

Ok, anyone else want to take a shot?

I've always wanted to do HWY 1 in a Corvette! It's one of my dream trips and I hope it comes sooner than later :)

I am from a little mountain town in NM called Ruidoso. The town sits at the base of a 12,000 ft. mountain and the roads are amazing! There isn't much traffic and weather is warm and dry

I wish I had bit the bullet and rented a Vette while I was there. There is a "rent a Vette" place in San Francisco, but I was reluctant to shell out the 275 clams a day. In retrospect, I wish I had done it for 1 or 2 days....:(

I am hoping that my driving trip (in the Vette) to the west coast will happen withing a year. It sounds like you have some great local roads out there.
