Hi everyone, I just found this forum and I hope it becomes more active. I have owned Corvettes for several years now, and before that I always dreamed about owning one. I now own a 2007 Monterey Red Roadster and a 1988 35th Anniversary Edition. The 1988 has about 51,000 miles on it and the roadster is my DD. I formerly owned a black 2002 Coupe which I loved.

About me: I split my time between Lafayette, Louisiana and Luanda, Angola in Africa. I am home half of the year and when I am home, I do not have to work. 100% of my working time is out of the USA. We travel quite a bit and enjoy driving trips in our C6, despite the high cost of gasoline. Our next trip is to the National Corvette Museum to the CF Cruise In the weekend before Memorial day.

My C4 is in really nice condition, and I have it in the Corvette Restoration shop now having it freshened up a bit more. I know this is like throwing money down a well, but I have a soft spot in my heart for the old girl. These cars kind of grow on you…:o

My C6 is my DD, but since I do not work in the USA, it is used only for pleasure. It still get driven a lot though, as my wife drives it frequently when I am in Africa.

Anyway, I just wanted to post an introduction and say hello to everyone.

Nice to hear from another 35th owner. What number is yours? Mine is number #296. One of the 200 produced with the 4+3 transmission. I use mine more for weekend romps or just going to shows. Only has 45,500 miles on it. I have a 2003 Z06 that I just picked up in September with 1,300 miles on it that I use for my DD.

[QUOTE=zee sting;676]Nice to hear from another 35th owner. What number is yours? Mine is number #296. One of the 200 produced with the 4+3 transmission. I am back in Africa  and I do not remember my number, but I think it is in the 1500s. Yours is indeed a rare car. I think that the 4+3 35th may be the rarest production C4. I think one day these cars will come into their own as collectables, as there is already some interest. I really enjoy driving my C4, but I want to keep it nice. I have a 9 month old grandson, I am thinking it will make a nice college graduation gift for him if I can keep it like new. Next year I would like to drive her (the 35th) to the NCM for one of the weekend events though. I am a big fan of the Museum and have visited several times, but never in my C4.

I hope this forum can survive and thrive, as I think there is a need for a smaller Corvette forum that is kind of laid back.

Have a great week!
