Hi everyone, I just found this forum and I hope it becomes more active. I have owned Corvettes for several years now, and before that I always dreamed about owning one. I now own a 2007 Monterey Red Roadster and a 1988 35th Anniversary Edition. The 1988 has about 51,000 miles on it and the roadster is my DD. I formerly owned a black 2002 Coupe which I loved.
About me: I split my time between Lafayette, Louisiana and Luanda, Angola in Africa. I am home half of the year and when I am home, I do not have to work. 100% of my working time is out of the USA. We travel quite a bit and enjoy driving trips in our C6, despite the high cost of gasoline. Our next trip is to the National Corvette Museum to the CF Cruise In the weekend before Memorial day.
My C4 is in really nice condition, and I have it in the Corvette Restoration shop now having it freshened up a bit more. I know this is like throwing money down a well, but I have a soft spot in my heart for the old girl. These cars kind of grow on you…:o
My C6 is my DD, but since I do not work in the USA, it is used only for pleasure. It still get driven a lot though, as my wife drives it frequently when I am in Africa.
Anyway, I just wanted to post an introduction and say hello to everyone.
