Bowling Green Assembly UAW President, Eldon Renaud, has been heard saying that the Bowling Green assembly plant will be the new home for Ponitac Solstice, and Saturn Sky production. These two seaters are currently built in Wilmington, Delaware. Expect the change to take place by 2012. This will add about 2,000 jobs in Bowling Green.

Best as I know, Corvettes will continueto be built exclusively in BG.

That should be good news for Bowling Green people due to the job market. With the Solstice and Sky being built with the Corvette there it will be the American Sport Car Capital.

As beautiful as the Soltice and Sky are, GM definetly needs to put a real engine in them. How bout the 3800 V6? Or a 4.6 Lt V8 . The addition of these two to the BG plant would seem to secure the continuation of the Corvette in Bowling Green.
