I am in the midst of switching from a stock 93 LT1 engine to the GM Performance LT4 Hot Cam setup. which includes the head change too, with the bigger intakes, etc. In addition to the massive changes to the heads and cam, I also replaced the intake with the Edelbrock Hot Cam manifold, which they did a real nice job on, 58 MM TB vs. the 52MM, 32 lb. injectors vs 24 lb. stock ones, Hooker Shorties, Borla Cat Backs, K&N air filter and 1.6 RR's. I also went .030 over, making it a 355 CID. I had a chip burned for the application by Motorvation to make sure it would run right.Eventually I will swap out the 3:45's and go to 4:10's or whatever they make for my car, all mated to an M6.
My question is, has anybody run this setup ever or knows of anybody who has? GM Performance and various motor heads promise 425 crank HP but being a skeptic, I added a whole bunch of other goodies to insure that 425 HP at the crank would be attainable. I've been told that I should realize closer to 440-450 crank HP and about 360 RWHP, which I would be pleased with once all is said and done. Thanks in advance for information
