Suspension rebuild or new parts? 1993

I have my car in a shop for routine stuff. They found issues with the rubber bushings on the front end. Yes they look ugly and somewhat abused but they are still there. The shop suggested I purchase both lower and upper control arms with the ball joints attached instead of doing a rebuild which they suggested would be costly. They are in the process of replacing the tie rods. I am looking for opinions and wondering if I even need to have this done at this point? I have not noticed any problems in the steering or anything else. She mostly sits in the garage and only gets out occasionally. I appreciate any input! I have pictures but not sure how to upload. This is my first post and I am also having trouble logging on

93 Suspension - Rebuild or Replace?

[QUOTE=volgirl;32241]I have my car in a shop for routine stuff. They found issues with the rubber bushings on the front end. Yes they look ugly and somewhat abused but they are still there. The shop suggested I purchase both lower and upper control arms with the ball joints attached instead of doing a rebuild which they suggested would be costly. I don't know why I would replace the control arms if there is nothing wrong with them other than the bushings. They are very expensive from what I have seen online. They are in the process of replacing the tie rods. I am looking for opinions and wondering if I even need to have this done at this point? I have not noticed any problems in the steering or anything else. She mostly sits in the garage and only gets out occasionally. I appreciate any input!

Ask them why not just replace rubber? I've seen rebuild kits w/o purchasing hardware. Unless some unusual wear on part of the componants
